CHAPTER  1: Prologue

Part I - An Uncanny Demise

Ashton Manor stood in all its grandeur, a symbol of opulence and elegance nestled in the heart of the English countryside. Its sprawling gardens, towering spires, and ivy-clad walls spoke of a bygone era of aristocratic splendor. Inside, the Manor's crowning jewel was the Ashton Ruby, a gemstone so captivating that it seemed to whisper secrets to those who gazed into its depths. Yet, beneath the façade of beauty, a dark and unsettling truth lurked.

The tranquility of the Ashton Manor was shattered one fateful morning Lady Isabella Ashton discovered her husband, Sir Jonathan Ashton, dead in his study. A crimson pool formed around him, and a dagger was buried deep in his chest. The scene was as dramatic as it was horrifying, but the most chilling detail was the Ashton Ruby, still clasped in Sir Jonathan's hands. Lady Isabella, trembling with fear, reported the murder to the authorities, her voice barely above a whisper.

And that's it for part one of the story.....well I did talk about cozy vibes and here I come up with a murder mystery.....but bare with me...it'll be a nice one. Anyway, I'm ready with a truckload of stories to share so keep following my blog.
